VETERANS HILL RACE (35 years of age and over)
RACE STARTS AT 1430 HOURS
The race distance is 9760 metres, 6 miles 136 yards, mainly on roads or pavements with the exception of the final 250m of the outward run to the turning point at Cairnpapple Hill & the start of the return leg which is on a rough track.
Race entry is on the day of the race in the pavilion in Meadow Park, Glasgow Road, Bathgate. Entry fee £3.00
Prizes for first in all age groups, male & female.

BRITISH AND IRISH MASTERS CROSS COUNTRY INTERNATIONAL 2013
Welsh Masters AA have announced that this year's British and Irish Masters Cross Country International will not now take place at Colwyn Bay as previously planned. A change of circumstances has meant that the event will now be held in Cardiff or Swansea. The date, November 16th, remains unchanged and we await further information from the organisers.

BRITISH MASTERS INDOOR T&F CHAMPS - RESULTS
Aberdeen AAC veteran, Laura Mahady, set a new World Record in the V55 Category at the British Masters Indoor Track & Field Champs. Laura ran 2.29.66 for the 800m to beat the record by almost 2 seconds.

Looking for participants in a questionnare for my sports dissertation in ''Does Masters distance runners training affect their performances''. questionnaire .
Introduction letter, consent form and questionnaire are displayed in the ''Scottish Veteran Harriers Club'' website for volunteers to answer the relevent questions in the questionnare. To gather the information from volunteer masters runners. Towards the study of masters distance runners training and racing. The information sheet enclosed displays the relevent information in more detail.
This study could be very helpful for masters distance runners and club coaches in the foreseeable future. How past and present training and racing could give an insight how masters athletes could continue compete at a high level in masters competitions.
I will be very grateful to the Scottish Veteran Harriers Club to give me assistance in this study for my Honours degree in sports coaching. To my knowledge there has not been a study as detailed in individual masters distance runners.
Therefore, I have enclosed the relevant attachment form. (the athletes should not display their name or running club)
