"I've had a request from the family of Jim Robertson to forward these details to you in the hope that you might post them on your page. As messaged earlier, Jim was a former member of the club and won the Scottish over 40 hill running championship in 1996. Jim's body was recently recovered from the Cairngorms where he has been missing since March. Our family would like to invite everyone to join us as we say goodbye to Jim Robertson, a very special dad, son, brother and friend. We would like the day to be a celebration of the man that he was; gentle by nature yet brave enough to take risks and follow his heart. All are welcome to attend & please feel free to share the following arrangements with others:12 o'clock service at the Linn Crematorium on Wednesday the 25th of May. Then on Christ the King to raise a glass to Jim. Feel free to dress as you please as the service will be informal & we, the family, will not be wearing black. We look forward to sharing many happy memories of Jim with you all."

I knew Jim from races in the 80s & 90s. He ran for the Scottish team in the XC international in 1995 at Malahide. He was 1st M40 Scot, in front of Archie Jenkins, Fred Connor & Doug Cowie.
