BRITISH and IRISH MASTERS CROSS COUNTRY INTERNATIONAL
17 NOVEMBER 2018 – SINGLETON PARK~SWANSEA, WALES
We now have the teams for Swansea more or less finalised and we will soon be emailing all participants with information that we have to date giving details of travel, accommodation and evening meal costs for those who are booking through the Club. There are also details listed below for various other issues.
We have booked 45 double/twin rooms on the evenings of 16th and 17th November for the SVHC team at the Dragon Hotel, Swansea. All rooms are currently taken, although some are on a single occupancy basis and we are trying to free up some additional space by encouraging sharing. Rates are: -
Twin & Double - £80 per night B & B (£40/occupant)
Single Occupancy - £60 per night B & B (£60 per occupant)
If someone shares on the first night and their fellow occupant leaves after just one night then they would pay the single occupancy rate on the second night.
The Club has to pay the hotel directly by the end of October, so we require payment in advance – see Payment Details section at the end of this note.
Evening Prizegiving and Meal
Tickets for the evening event are priced at £32/person. Female team members should let Ada Stewart know numbers and Male team to John Bell. Ada and John will batch the information and provide it to Andy Law, who will pay the Welsh Organisers. Also, details of any dietary requirements please. All of this by 6th November at latest.
The bus booked from Parks of Hamilton will leave Cowcaddens, opposite the entrance to Buchanan Street Bus Station, Glasgow at 09:00 hours sharp on the morning of 16th November. The bus has an on-board toilet. It will stop at Junction 44 on the M6, Carlisle to do a quick pick-up and there will be other stops on the way down. The bus ‘fare’ will be £35/head.
This will be advised closer to the date. We’re still waiting to hear from the Welsh Organisers.
New ’caps’ get a complimentary Scotland vest and shorts – those who have not yet done so let Andy Law know sizes and he will arrange to bring along to Swansea or post to suit.
All team members will receive a £50 travel subsidy and this can be paid by cheque to team members or can be netted off any sums due to the Club for bus travel, hotel accommodation or Prizegiving Meal tickets.
All travelling should be able to work out what they’re due from the details in this note and pay that amount to the Club’s account either by electronic transfer to: -
